Learning Reflectiontion

             Today  I've  studied the End of course English Reading Strategies. I practice skills  reading  for detailed  information , reading for specific information , reading for general idea and scanning text  ,skimming text , writing main idea, writing the topic sentence.

            I study  the many story  namely  Healthy food and Unhealthy food , Japanese diet , Natural Disasters / news stories , Today's Technology, Fashion , West meets East ,

Ann Landers & Descriptions of Books and Novels , English Today & Leaning Language and ASEAN Economic Community.

                 I think  reading  for detailed  information  is very easy. But I  think  reading for general idea is difficult. The best way to get into reading is simply to  read freely and practice write main idea from the News or novels. This practice helps me develop a feel for writing.

               I should learn to read simply by reading a lot at an appropriate level.It can improve my reading skills speaking skills and writing skills. It can build fundamental vocabulary
and grammar knowledge.  It can provide a very strong foundation on which to build all language skills.

         My attitudes towards the lesson is I never feel confident when I am faced with a variety of reading task in and outside of class. Since middle school I realized, that reading, no matter in what language, is one of my weakest subjects in school. Especially academic writing represents always a challenge for me.It is not only time consuming, but also a lot of work. For example, when reading about topics I am not familiar. So I must read a lot of English almost every day for myself.

           

Unit 8 : ASEAN Economic Community

             Today I review  lesson reading  for detailed  information and reading for specific information  about  Extensive reading. 
I  practice  reply the questions without using dictionary.

 
                 Then I  study reading for general idea and reading  for detailed information  about  the Association  of  Southeast   Asian Nations . ASEAN was established on 8 August 1967. ASEAN Member States is Thailand Malaysia Cambodia The Philippines
Indonesia Brunei Darussalam Myanmar Singapore Laos Vietnam.

                     After that I practice reading and writing fundamental vocabulary such as economic social  educational technical cultural development equality partnership foundation politics community
relationship  explore  beneficial standard laws foods flags symbols
attraction unity emulation promote organisations cooperation  etc.

                     Finally, I think writing  about  writing  fundamental vocabulary about Asean   is very easy. But I  think  reading for general idea is difficult. The best way to get into reading is simply to  read freely and practice write main idea from the News or novels.This practice helps me develop a feel for writing. 

                     My attitudes towards the  lesson is the  teacher gave a corrective feedback.I  feel confident when I am faced with a variety of writing task in and outside of class.I really like reading about the  reading for general idea and reading  for detailed information about  the Association  of  Southeast   Asian Nations.

Unit 7 (continuous) : English Today & Leaning Language

                        Today I review  lesson reading  for detailed  information and reading for specific information   about
obstacles to faster effective  reading and hints for reading practice.

                  

                      Then I practice writing about research on English  language reading such as  researcher  commentator
comment  expert  result  limitation internet  advice improve
the advantage   effect   resource  reading   article  programs 
obstacle people outcome finding method.
                           

                             
                      After that I practice  reply the questions with  a 
 partner  about  kind  of  book  for  reading  such as Fictions
newspapers,  magazines , novels , English study books,
A Feast for Crows , Insurgent,Mrs. Dalloway,The Fellowship of the Ring,Twilight , A Clash of Kings,Looking for Alaska etc.
I  practice  writing about Impact of  the Asean Community.

                    Finally, I think writing  about research on English language reading  is very easy. But I  think  reading for specific  information is difficult. The best way to get into reading is simply to  read freely and practice write main idea from the News or novels.This practice helps me develop a feel for writing.

                        My attitudes towards the lesson is not  easy. But I  feel confident when I am faced with a variety of writing task in and outside of class.I really like reading about  English Today & Leaning Language. Because I like read about the way

to lean language and extensive reading.

Unit 7 : English Today & Leaning Language

                          Today I study reading for general  idea and 
reading for detailed information about obstacles to faster effective  reading.I study  scanning  for the specific information.

                  After that  I practice  writing  about obstacles to faster reading such as technical terms , hard pronounce, 

read repeatedly,use diction as soon as when unknown word,

lack of confidence, read every word , confuse with idiom.

and translate every word etc.

          Finally, I think writing  about obstacles to faster reading  is very easy. But I  think  reading for specific information is difficult. The best way to get into reading is simply to  read freely and practice write main idea from the News or novels.This practice helps me develop a feel for writing.

                        Today I review  lesson reading  for detailed            information and reading for specific information   about  Ann Landers & Descriptions of Books and Novels.

              After that  I practice  reply the question about  publish columns. I practice  reading  for  detailed information and reply the question about letter to 
Ann landers.

                 After that  I think  reading  for detailed information    is very easy. But I  think reply the question about  publish columns  is  difficult.  I must  read the books  such as Sense and Sensibility,A Tale of Two Cities,Looking for Alaska ,Emma, The Da Vinci Code ,A Christmas Carol ,The Two Towers etc.

                     Finally, The best way to get into reading is simply to  read   freely. This practice helps me develop a feel  for writing.  My attitudes towards the lesson is the teacher gave a corrective feedback.

Then I lean  usage  "like" and "such as" for introduce example.

                  After that I  study  reading for detailed information

professor teaching in Taiwan. I practice make a list of questions and write  short  answers to the  questions  about  American English  professor teaching in Taiwan with  a partner.

               Finally , I think  usage "like" and "such as"  is very easy.

Unit 5 : West meets East

                                                Today I study reading for general idea  and 
scanning text about  the Western culture and Eastern culture.
I practice reply the questions with a partner.I practice writing about  the Western culture and Eastern culture such as  the boss , lifestyle , size of the individual's ego, attitude towards 
punctuality, Ideal of beauty , Elderly in day to day life, how to
stand in line , connections and contacts , complexity of self -
expression, traveling and recording memories etc.

                   After that I think, scanning text  is very easy. But  I  think, reading for general idea is  difficult.The best way to get into reading is simply to read and read freely. I must practice to reading and writing from books and novels such as Lord of the Flies, Brave New World ,The Perks of Being a Wallflower ,
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time etc.

                       Finally,this practice helps me develop a feel for writing.My reading strategies is reading practical dictionary. My attitudes towards the lesson is not very easy. I  feel confident when I am faced with a variety of writing task in and outside of class.I really like reading about  the Western culture and Eastern culture.

Unit 4 (continuous) : Fashion

                       Today , I study grammar about the grammar rules of "used to".

The form is subject + verb to be + used to + verb in the ing form / noun

Example   

• I am / was used to studying English every day.
• I am used to his jokes. (example with a noun)
• You are / were used to studying English every day.
• He is / was used to studying English every day

 

                   After that I  talk about hairstyle with a partner and  reading for specific information.In my opinion, the grammar rules of "used to" is  easy.But I think, reading for specific information is  difficult.The best way to get into reading is simply to read and read freely. 

                       Finally, this practice helps me develop a feel for writing.My reading strategies is reading practical dictionary. 

My attitudes towards the lesson is not very easy.When it comes to writing, my attitude is instinctual negative. I never feel confident when I am faced with a variety of writing task in and outside of class. Since middle school I realized, that writing, no matter in what language, is one of my weakest subjects in school.But i like  this lesson because  it about 
fashion and i really like it.
